Taller de muerte de Shibori e Índigo

Explora el mundo del teñido natural en el taller de teñido Shibori e Índigo en Pinecrest Gardens el jueves, 19 de septiembre . Esta clase inmersiva, parte de la serie Curious Gardener Workshops organizada en colaboración con Fiber Artists Miami Association (FAMA), profundiza en el antiguo arte del teñido índigo. Los participantes aprenderán sobre la historia y las propiedades del índigo, un tinte azul natural derivado de plantas, mientras exploran las técnicas Kumo ("araña") Shibori y Arashi Shibori. Estos métodos tradicionales japoneses implican manipular la tela para crear patrones resistentes únicos antes de teñirla.
The Workshop enfatiza la naturaleza orientada al proceso de trabajar con índigo, destacando la paciencia y la belleza de los resultados inesperados. Los asistentes adquirirán experiencia práctica en la preparación de telas, la creación de tinas de índigo y la aplicación de técnicas de atado Shibori. Cada participante creará dos obras de arte teñidas de índigo para llevarse a casa.
